    Why Choose Electric?

Introducing the new generation of electric vehicles from ŠKODA: Enyaq IV, Octavia IV and VRS IV, Superb IV, Vision IV and Citigoe IV. Choose a vehicle to compare fuel cost and emissions with a conventional vehicle. Plug-in electric vehicles are connected and fun.

Škoda are prepping for an electric future, come 2025 there will be 10 electrified Škoda models. We are witnessing the biggest changes in more than 100 years of motoring – digitalisation, online services, autonomous driving, carsharing and alternative transport services. All this is around the corner. EMobility, on the other hand, is already knocking at the door, which means that you will soon be able to sit at the wheel of an electric ŠKODA vehicle. You can look forward to electrically driven ŠKODA models just next year, when the ŠKODA SUPERB PHEV – a plug-in hybrid version of ŠKODA’s flagship – and the Czech carmakers first purely electric car – the electric CITIGO – take their market bow.

By 2025, ŠKODA’s portfolio will include 10 electrified models in various segments, six of which will be all-electric, the others will be plug-in hybrids and hybrids. In addition, models featuring highly efficient internal combustion engines will also continue to be made. They could be delivering even cleaner and even thriftier operation by combining natural gas (CNG) – as an alternative fuel – and an electric rear axle. This hybrid technology was demonstrated by VISION X, the latest hybrid SUV study. All cars will continue to be manufactured in the Czech Republic, along with electrical components for the plug-in hybrids of all Volkswagen Group brands.

Why Choose Electric?

1. Fill Up For Less- Don't go to the petrol station, go where the smart money is. Charging a battery from nothing to full costs significantly less than filling up a tank full of fuel.

2. Leave Nothing Behind- All-electric vehicles produce no tailpipe emissions, so the carbon dioxide output of your daily commute is a whopping zero.

3. Go Wherever You Want- The driving range of electric vehicles is expanding constantly, with the Škoda Vision iV expected to run over 300 miles between charges. There are now more than 10000 charging locations across the UK, with this number expecting to increase every week.

4. Get A Simpler Service- Electric vehicles have far less parts than regular unleaded/diesel cars0 making them easier to service. The entire car works over three components: converter, motor and battery.

5. Don't Wait A Second- Acceleration is instant, without the lag diesel cars experience.

Battery Technology

Our electric iV models are powered by cutting-edge lithium-ion batteries. Loaded with densely packed energy, they safely and sustainably power your car. Our Battery Management System ensures performance won’t deteriorate even over long periods of time.

Plug-in Hybrid Technology

A Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) runs by combining the power of both an electric motor and a petrol engine. They can drive purely on electricity for long enough to cover shorter journey and errands, but their is a petrol engine to fall back on in case you need to travel further.

Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)

BEVs are purely electrical and primarily charged at home or at a public charging point. Our zero emission BEVs are great fun to drive and easily serviced.

We hope this has given you the best insight into why you should choose an electric vehicle- with climate change being a real factor in the future of our world, we need to support and love the planet we live on. These electric vehicles are carefully designed to offer you the best car with all the best features along with it being environmentally friendly. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too? Not us.
