Charity – Air Ambulance
Autosales are delighted to be official supporters of the Air Ambulance Charity
Autosales have guaranteed to make a donation to the Air Ambulance Charity for every car we sell. We are also planning several fund raising events throughout the coming months to try and do our bit to insure that the service can be maintained.
We need an Air ambulance service because we know as fact that if a patient who is critically ill or injured is treated in hospital in what the service likes to call the “Golden Hour” they have a massively increased chance of survival.
Did you know:
- The Air Ambulance Service is 100% funded by charitable donations. – It gets no money from the NHS.
- It costs over 5 Million pounds a year to run.
- The service covers an area of 8000 square miles and the helicopters can reach the furthest part of the region in less than 19 minutes.
- The service carry out approximately 2,000 missions a year.
- It cost £36 per minute to keep the helicopter flying.
